Brand new job opening for Registered Nurse to work in care home which have around 80 beds and is located in York. The care home comprises 2 different units: Unit provides care for residents who require nursing dementia care while Unit provides general nursing care for thy residents.

As a General Nurse you will have to prescribe, deliver and supervise the execution of excellent standards of care in accordance with our policies and procedures and to lead a care team promoting rehabilitation and independence, together with dignity and respect, such that the lives of our residents is as they would wish it, and choose it, to be.

The successful candidate will be offered a various shifts and an excellent salary of £16.00 per hour plus other great benefits.

Key Responsibilities 

Ø  Participate knowledgably and professionally to all inspection visits, ensuring your team is ready at all times to do the same 

Ø   Ensure the highest possible standards of care, assessing residents' needs and wishes, and developing services to enhance their quality of life

Ø   Oversee all aspects of medicine management on your shift – ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered, in accordance with company policies and current legislation

Ø  Promote a cohesive team approach and a welcoming atmosphere to ensure staff members feel a connection to our residents and the home, and they are well supported to deliver high quality care

Ø  Attend relevant meetings both internal and external; attend regular team meetings and monthly appraisals with line manager. 

Key Skills

Ø  People Management experience 

Ø  Experience of delivering nursing care within elderly health care sector 

Ø  Experience of participating in quality and clinical governance programmes

Ø  The ability to lead a team, analyse problems and propose solutions or improvements

Ø  Understands and effectively uses IT and communication systems required for the role 

To be considered for this role you must be qualified as General Nurse with 1 year experience and must be registered with the NMC
